Happy 4th of July!
Summer, fresh, barefoot, BBQ,
homemade lemonade, berries no just a few,
good company, mischief, and snikers
fun, flags, flowers, and wicker
Pops, bangs, and flashes
sparkles, color, and light that splashes
Red and white in the blue night
Ohhing and awing at the sight
warm breeze, stiff grass, legs crossed,
sounds and smells, no moments lost.
What a finale to a wonderful day.
