Jennykins

Happy Birthday to my adorable Jennykins
There are so many reasons I appreciate this gal,
here are few:
-She is so Beautiful, like a china doll. Hers is the
beauty of storybooks, snow-white skin,
red lips, golden hair, and crystal blue eyes.
-She is amazingly dependable, you can
always count on Jens.
She will always hold up her end of any bargain
or responsibility.
She is a real pillar of
strength and integrity.
-She is always so well informed on everything,
I know that I can always call her with a question and get
a wealth of knowledge immediately.
She is such a comfort to have by your side when
making any big decision.
She always gives such sound advice.
-She has the most hilarious sense of humor,
she can always keep us laughing
(I love that her daughter is now developing that
same humor,it never ceases to make me giggle,
its so full of life)
-Jenny is so talented yet so humble,
especially in music (she plays 3 instruments)
and in sewing (she made both her daughters
blessing gowns and a few dresses for herself),
these are two things that I wish I could do better.
She has saved me in a few sewing and music dilemmas.
For the family band that played at Reece's Party she
picked all the parts out from the music video which she
listened to on the iphone and then proceeded to write
them all out on staff tablature.
amazing.
-Jenny is so patient, determined, & self disciplined.
Unlike me, Jenny has a gift for reading instructions and
figuring things out,
she will quietly and steadily
work on projects until they are finished,
and they are always finished on time and are always
so impressive
as she is able to do so much
without the whining when the work
was tough or having to do late night procrastination
and be forced to cut corners for sanity
(just a few things that are common in my life, but not in hers)
She keeps the many busy and flustered people around her sane.
-Her dependability, patience, and self discipline are also
transfered into the steady testimony of the gospel that
she exemplifies. Again this is another place that she is a
rock to lean on and look up to.
-She is very very Sweet, she is always truly
interested in people
and will always listen to them. She never speaks ill of
people and she always remembers you, from
the important things to the sweet little things
she will remember. She is also so wonderful
to reminisce with.

There are so many more amazing things I could say
about my wonderful older sister.
Jens you are the greatest. I love you so much.

Marc Antony and Cleopatra

Just playing around in the studio in our
costumes. Our black egyptian panther was supposed
to be the main attraction but he decided to be a
little pill. So we just got more pics of our Halloween
fun.

LIGHTS

On hallows eve Kitch, Nick, Reece, and I went to the Lights
concert at Kelby court, the tickets were Kitch's B-day present
from us. Lights is a canadian singer whose music is techno
pop. Very fun to dance to. The venue was a bit shady but had
its perks. I went as Cleopatra. Waiting in dark dingy ally ways,
memories.

The opening band was pretty darn good, we warmed up
cozy by the fire pit outside during the next band, and then
went in to dance to the main event. Lights was amazing
live, she is a great performer.

Check out her sounds: my favorite song here, Reece's
pick here, and here is a video of her very cool encore
performance of some Phil Collins awesomeness.

Katie-did

Happy Birthday to my dear baby sister!
Here are all the reasons I adore having this lovely
lady as my sister:
-She is gorgeous, but unlike most gorgeous girls Kate
is real and sincere. She is down to earth and
courteous to all.
(but I do have to admit I do like all the special
treatment that I get whenever Im with Kate, Its amazing
the perks you get when someone else thinks the person you are
with is a major cutie)
- She has the most lovely and contagious laugh
it always gets me giggling right along with her
-Her sense of humor can also always make me laugh
she can always come up with the most witty comments
at the most perfect times
(plus I also love how she gets
my very random sense of humor as well)
-She is very thoughtful, anything from stress relieving packages
to flowers or treats, or to just being someone to talk to
she is always there for you during the tough times
(she is great with putting in quality and behind the scenes
time)
-She is confidant, not too strong, in a perfect way,
I admire her ability to stand up for
herself, she knows what she wants and doesn't settle
she doesn't let herself get taken advantage of or used
-Her faith in the Lord is strong, she has a great ability
to be sensitive to the spirit when making decisions
even during tough times I am grateful for her
example of trusting in the Lord
-She is super supportive, I know I can always share
my crazy ideas and dreams with her because I never
have to worry about her judging me or discouraging
me because what I am thinking is so out of the box
-She herself sets awesome goals and is a real go getter
to making them happen, she is a hard worker
(especially with her studies, she deserves every A
in her straight A report card, go Kitch!)
-She is incredibly fun she is always up to do
something fun, concerts, hiking, biking, festivals,
movies, crafts, csi marathons, road trips, and more
she is fun to be with during the waiting in lines
and down times but then awesome to be with during the
thrills and the dancing.

there is still so much to say and so little space and time
Thank you Kitch for everything, I Love you.

Freaky Family FĂȘtes

Our family halloween party this year was a memorable one.
(actually they all are) So glad that we initiated the "a-costume-
is-mandatory-for entrance" rule last year. It was fun to see
who everybody came up with. Mike-Woody, Jenny-silly doctor,
Evy-monkey, Nora-Little Miss Muffit, Mom & Dad- BYU and
U of U fans, Kate-Audrey Hepburn, Me-Cleopatra, Reece-
Marc Antony.
R and I watched Elizabeth Taylor's cleopatra and I told him
to pick out a costume....he chose the one below. (minus the
leopard) I had some ideas for my own as I loved every dress
Elizabeth wore in the movie, but I ended up just being able
to copy her make-up design.
I worked hard (maybe a little too hard) on Reece's costume,
sewed the tunic, hemmed it with gold fringe, painted the
cheap foam armor, added gold detailing, sewed a cape that
clipped on the armor with tassels hiding the clips. I really
get into things....But by the time it came to my costume I
had run out of steam so I opted for the costume in a bag.
I at least didnt have to buy a wig...yeah that mop on my head
that is way way too long is my real hair.
Evy loved Marc Antony's costume she touched and pointed to
everything that was gold and even roared when she came to
the two lions I glued on the shoulders of the breastplate.

For dinner we had corn chowder in homemade bread bowls
(thanks Kitch).

Then came craft time so the boys snuck over to the couch
to play on their iphones, party poopers. We actually didnt
have as many activities this year, our big event was cupcake
decorating. The owl and the pumpkin designs are from
Hello Cupcake book (I will make every cupcake in that
book... someday).

We did finally get Mike over to explore his creative genius,
and this is what he came up with....Bone Henge. Perfect.

We finished with the tradition of making carmeled apples.
The next day (Halloween) I added some bodies for my
owl heads and made Reece go deliver plates of cupcakes
to friends with me and to show off his costume one more time.
I love how Dubie looks perfectly egyptian. (After we found him
as a kitten and before we found out he was a boy I was
thinking of calling him Cleo (short for cleopatra) or
Bastet ) confession...We also tried to change his name from
Dubie to Nubie (short for Anubis) because of the first name's
drug connotation...but it didnt stick. Yes Im a nerd.

Then a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our October birthdays!
Kitch and my dad. Love these two amazingly. I love how
Nora and Eve Bug have been in all the birthday cake
pictures in the last 2 years. And I love Nora's smile in this
shot even more!! ha. Still keeping up with the tradition
of getting our cakes from Bakers (most yummy cakes ever,
just the smell of the frosting reminds me of my childhood...
that and pulling off and nibbling the frosting leaves they
place on the side of the cake) I will have to post all the
the great cakes they have made for all our themed birthdays
growing up, cinderella, alice in wonderland, space (one of
my themes...uh...), little mermaid.

Kitch got her very own digital SLR AHHHHH! soo excited.
This girl has got talent, check out her pictures here... cant
wait to go shooting together. And for Pops, we all collected
fun memories of dad that we pulled out of a bowl and read
and made him guess who he created that memory with.
It made for some good laughs.

I love you family, so so much.
