Ravenscroft

This is the beautiful house that our family rented for the

remainder of our stay in Santa Barbara. Reece found this

gem online (a talent of his) while we were researching how

to save money on this family trip. We figured that the cost

to rent a house for a week would be much cheaper than

paying for everyone's separate hotel rooms. Plus the ability

to store and cook food in a pantry and kitchen could save

all the money we would normally pay going out for all our

meals. Then as a bonus this property had a swimming pool,

tennis court, and a great laundry room. When we pulled up

we were unprepared for how stunning the estate really was.

Beautiful gardens, pathways, and sitting areas on the outside

then cozy and elegant rooms inside. Antiques and fresh cut

flowers everywhere. Even a chicken coop with a few friendly

chickens. This is my new dream house.

orchids. At the end of the pathway going through the

middle is a Japanese teahouse, what a beautiful way to

arrive to a party, strolling through rows of exotic flowers

to get to a lovely teahouse complete with fountains and

which would look perfect with paper lanterns hanging

everywhere}

{this was a little cottage where everything was 70% the

normal size. There was full plumbing and electrical, a

darling little kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. So cute.}

{my favorite room, the garden room. I loved how the vines

were allowed to grow through the wrought iron doors

and windows. It was always glowing with light and smelled

like orange blossoms from the real topiary orange trees

growing between the windows}

{the kitchen had two very spacious pantries off to the side}

Across the courtyard was the garage with a cute little two

room apartment above it. It was perfect for my older sisters

little family.

ohhh I miss this place.
