Angie's Little Lamb Baby Shower

I helped throw a Lamby shower for our dear Angie and her

baby boy Carrst. We threw it in my parents backyard where the

gardens have always enchanted me.

We re-covered books and gave them new "Lamb" or

"Sheep" themed titles. I antiqued some lamb pictures I

took down in South Carolina and we displayed them on

all the tables and buffets. I arranged the flowers for the

centerpieces in my silver revere bowls. Included were pansies,

mums, decorative cabbages, and mint & basil for some

extra greenery so they would all smell yummy. Cassandra

had some adorable burlap table toppers we put on top of grey

and brown tablecloths. My mothers mustard, cream, and green

ceramic dish-ware, and Laura & Libby's amber goblets.

Pecan pies, coconut cupcakes, macaroons, and stuffed pears on

the dessert table.

The buffet included biscuits with either jam or chocolate gravy,

stuffed mushrooms, shrimp and grits, grilled asparagus,

and basil corn salad.

One of the favors was a decorated box full of divinity.

Laura made this adorable flag garland.

Cassandra surprised all of us with a second favor of

cotton candy ("sugar spun wool").

Everybody was asked to write a little note to baby

Carrst that would be later glued onto the pages of a

southern novel for Angie to take home as a keepsake.

Angie we hope you feel loved and cherished, cause you are.

Your friendship has meant so much to all of us.
