Photograms

Photograms are a fun assignment that

helps everyone get use to how the

photographic materials react

to light.

They had total freedom to experiment

with objects that had different levels of opacity

to create different shades of grays.

The areas that are black were hit with the

most amount of light where the areas

that are white had an opaque substance blocking

the light completely.

It was interesting to see how the students learned

how to work in the negative. To make things dark

give it more light, to make it light cover it up.
